Reflecting back over the last 18 months, never before has our industry experienced such challenges. All of our businesses were affected in many different ways. Here is a bit of our story.
With our own business beginning to slow rapidly at the beginning of the pandemic, creating and implementing effective strategies to protect both our company and our employees took center stage. It seemed just as quickly as the pandemic struck down our ability to work, we entered the first quarter of 2021 with an overwhelming influx of cases. Now yet more unpredictable challenges were on the horizon. This time instead of a lack of cases, it was overwhelming volumes of work that came in like a tsunami. We now found ourselves overwhelmed and neck-deep in work; we had a completely different challenge! All of the restorative treatments that had been delayed were now flowing into the laboratory, but also aesthetic cases from patients who had decided it was now time to reward themselves with a beautiful smile.
As we ramped up our output to meet this demand, this became a story of resilience and commitment. All of the credit in this story goes to our entire group of talented managers, technicians, and artisans. Planning for every possible contingency is what we strive to do every day. Going over and above is what defines our entire team, and we met the challenge. We were able to maintain quality and on-time delivery well above industry standards. I want to thank all of our team for their unwavering commitment to these high standards. These experiences make us stronger and more confident in who we are as a company. Now, although another year has passed, we still remain guarded for what the future may bring. I want to assure you no matter what that may be, we are committed to doing our very best.
To all of our dentist clients, we know you have other choices for your restorative support services, we deeply appreciate that you have continued to give us the opportunity to provide our services to you and your patients. Looking forward to the new year, we see unlimited potential for our future partnership with you, our valued clients. We hope to meet and exceed your expectations.
During 2022 we will continue to expand our market presence and our relationship with our clients in new and innovative ways. We will continue to expand our technological capabilities and our educational training offerings, but also how we interact as partners in this new year. Our commitment to quality and innovation is our philosophy and supporting our doctor clients guides us. Our goals for 2022 are again focused on customer-centered deliverables. We are dedicating our full resources to finding more ways to not only keep our clients’ practices relevant in this industry but also our technical team, facilities, and products as well. In our February newsletter, we will be formally introducing you to several new products and services our clients have recently discovered being offered from our laboratory.
